Today, I was alerted to a tweet that reads,

The tweet gives a link to ‘s website Friendly Atheist and the post “Christian Evangelist Says There Are No Atheists.”
The “#Asshole” is not in or from Ottawa, Toronto, Ontario or Vancouver. He isn’t even a Canadian. The “#Asshole” is Clint Decker from Great Awakings: The Evangelical Ministry of Clint Decker, born in Poughkeepsie, New York and who, at age 20, “gave his life to Jesus.”
In 2013, the Ottawa Herald gave Clint Decker his own column and on October 10, the the Ottawa Herald published Decker’s latest screed: “There Are No Atheists“:
God the Creator who made us (including all the atheists) put a natural desire within us to seek and know Him. When atheists put a box around themselves, it instinctively sets off a divine internal restlessness.
I challenge every atheist to open the box, step out and seek his or her Creator. You were made to know Him. There is no reason to fear. God loves you and seeks your best for His glory. May Jesus be your hope for today.
What garbage! The Ottawa Herald should be ashamed. The Ottawa Herald has allowed an egomaniac (Decker’s name is incorporated in title of the ministry) to insult 24% of its readers, the 24% of Canadians who identify as having no religion.
There are enough Canadian columnists, radio show hosts and ex-Canadians ready and eager to criticize atheists: we don’t need to import criticism. Canadian atheists don’t appreciate a sermon or advice from a person who is in one of the smallest, tightest boxes of all: Evangelical Christianity.
The Ottawa Herald should apologize for printing Decker’s October 10th column, and Clink Decker should “shut up.”
If everyone knows jesus is real then why demean only atheists, why not demean muslims, hindus, jews, buddists and all other religions that don’t grok jesus.
Asshole? Let me find the right adjectives to describe Decker.

Others? Schizophrenic.
Christians, and their abused bedfellows, do not believe that there is a God. They are not that stupid. They have faith that there is a God. This is just ‘make-believe’: and they know it; they are constantly aware that they know it. This is why religious people are schizophrenic.
As you know schizophrenics are not always dangerous, but sometimes they are.
The Ottawa Herald is located in Ottawa Kansas. Decker’s crazy is firmly located south of the border.
