Here’s your Canadian Atheist Weekly Update for 3-Jun-2017 to 9-Jun-2017.
Today, Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould tabled Bill C-51 to amend the Criminal Code, which repeals around two dozen sections of the Code and modifies several others. One of the sections it repeals is §296: the blasphemy law.
If you’re looking for a constructive way to mark this two-four, might I suggest writing up a pair of quick letters to the Minister of Justice and your MP (assuming they’re not one and the same)? The subject I recommend is the repeal of Canada’s blasphemy law.
