We’re still not yet ready to tackle the question of religious accessories bans directly. Before we can even begin to ask whether bans make sense, there’s still something very important that needs to be considered.
On Thursday, 13 December, 2018, Canada formally repealed its blasphemy law.
We did it! Today, Canada finally repealed its blasphemy law. Well, technically the Senate voted not to insist on amendments it had put to the House of Commons after MPs voted yesterday to reject those amendments. But that’s the parliamentary wrangling you can read on Hansard.
