Two questions David might ask: “Is being a lead pastor a heavier burden for a pastor or for society at large ?” and “Is the missionary position really the best to touch the hearts of risen apes ?”

The answer, of course, is “fiction: usually”.

If they were referring to ‘science fiction speculation’, the answer could be “factually improbable”.

Ordinarily, they are referring to some obviously impossible fictional character, “revealed” in some internally contradictory, relatively ancient, religious literature.

The difference comes from knowing that one of these works of art classifications is completely illogical.

When the apologists start with their science speculations, which they will do, they are entering into the magisterium of science fiction. They have abandoned faith at this point and have become one with us.

According to this November 7 story on Canadian Atheist, the seating will be gender-segregated in the auditorium.

I would urge all attendees, including especially the invited speakers, to stand FIRMLY against this and INSIST that the genders not be segregated – or simply refuse to speak or attend.

Take your example from Dr. Lawrence Krauss, please. The video linked to is of the somewhat famous seminar at which Dr. Krauss refused to speak at all until the segregated seating had been desegregated.
