I already know that atheists are the most distrusted group in America, so I watched Jaclyn Glenn’s latest video with a big a priori. The video documents Jaclyn’s experiment where she and her friends collect donations for a Children’s Hospital on behalf of two different organizations: one Methodist and the other Atheist; Methodist donations are collected on day one and atheist ones on day two. I pretty much expected people at a minimum to ignore Jaclyn when collecting donations as an atheist and from her commentary after the video, I think Jaclyn did too. However, I was surprised both by how she was treated and by the amounts of money given per donation.
You’ll need to watch the whole thing for the details but I think Jaclyn did a pretty good job at fairly reporting interactions with the crowd.
